About Portoroz & Piran - conference venue (Hotel Bernardin 11th and 12th - 13th Floor)
The conference venue is situated on the coast of the Adriatic Sea and a ten minute walk from each end of it brings us either to Piran or Portoroz. Piran is one of the oldest cities of Slovenia and is actually one large museum with the medieval architecture and rich culture heritage. Narrow streets and tight houses are a special charm of the town. Portoroz is the most vivid and worldly Slovenian tourist centre of Slovenian coast. Development of this tourist site started in 19th century when wholesome of mud from the nearby was discovered. Since then Portoroz has developed into a beautiful resort where one can find peace, relax and enjoy the lavish offer of the many hotel wellness centers.
The venue's exceptional location offers a wide choice of daily excursions to the most appreciated sights in the area, such as the fabulous cave of Postojna, the riding shows of the famous Lipizaner horses in the stud farm in Lipica, or Venice Italy that is only 2 hour boat trip away across the Adriatic Sea.
